North Devon Coast Sketching and Walking(Part2)
North Devon again this weekend! This time we strapped ourselves to heavy rucksacks and stayed out over night. We walked from Combe Martin (see above) to Barbrook just up from Lynton and the Valley of Rocks (see below) in two days. Very slow walking yes! But plenty of stops for sketching and picnicking.

I was really struck by the steepness of the cliffs and the rollercoaster coast path. It was a real struggle to get up and down them, the walk took much longer than I thought not leaving as much time for painting as I had hoped. I’m going to have to go back there though, so many views to choose from.
